Cooking time : 45 mins to 1 hour
Serves: 4
Ingredients:
Paneer - 2 cups cubed
Oil - 3 tblspn
Cumin Seeds / Shahi Jeera - 1 tsp
Cinnamon / Pattai - 1 stick
Cardamom / Yelakai - 4 crushed
Cloves / Krambu - 4
Chilli Powder - 1 tblspn
Garam Masala Powder - 1 tblspn
Yogurt / Curd - 1/2 cup
Cream - 2 to 3 tblspn
Salt to taste
Sugar to taste
Coriander Leaves a handful finely chopped
For Grinding:
Onion - 2 large chopped
Ginger - 4 cm chopped
Garlic - 6 cloves
Cashews - 20
Water - 1 cup
Method:
Take cubed paneer in a bowl, add hot water over it and let it sit till needed.
In a pan, take onion and other ingredients given for grinding. Cook that for 10 mins. Now cool this and take it in a blender. Puree till smooth. Set aside.
Heat oil in a kadai. Add in whole spices and saute for a min.
Add in pureed onion mix and cook till it thickens.
Add in chilli and garam masala powder and give a good mix.
Add in whisked yogurt and mix well. Cook for few mins.
Add in water and bring it to a boil. Add in drained paneer and simmer for few mins.
Add in salt, sugar and cream to taste and mix well.
Add coriander leaves and mix well.
Serve.
